Why Deltrium’s double-blind lab testing is so important…
According to a recent study by CBD Oracle, the labels on Delta-8 THC products in are often wrong. They submitted 51 different Delta-8 products to FESA Labs, a licensed testing facility Southern California, to see if potency levels and other metrics printed on product labels were accurate. Most were not. In fact, 75% were wrong!
Of the products tested, 77 percent had less Delta-8 THC than advertised… and 76 percent actually contained more than 0.3 percent Delta-9 THC—which means that many of the products available online or at gas stations and smoke shops, are “indisputably” federally illegal, CBD Oracle found.
Consumers need to be cautious, because all gummies are NOT created equal.
North Carolina’s Governor, Josh Stein supports the legalization of cannabis for adult recreational use, but he describes today’s situation related to the sale of hemp-derived cannabis products as being “the wild west,” and he’s not entirely wrong. In a recent interview on WRAL, Governor Stein said:
“I believe adults should be able to choose what they want to do, but they need to have information. The idea that we have a system where this product, which is a drug that can get you high, is for sale out there without any restrictions on how it’s sold, to me, is insane.” (At Deltrium, we couldn’t agree more, by the way.)

“Double-blind lab testing” means that we submit samples of our finished products to TWO INDEPENDENT testing laboratories. And those separate, independent labs test for everything: ingredients, potency, particulates, contaminants, heavy metals… everything.
The two reports, called Certificates of Analysis or “COAs,” have to match, or we don’t offer the product… period. You’ll find both at deltrium.com. We recognized that since we couldn’t internally verify a single lab report, how would we know our lab reports were correct? The only answer was double-blind lab testing.
It’s obvious that the industry needs regulation and standards, but until tighter regulations are put in place, it’s up to consumers to protect themselves, and that takes knowledge. It’s important to scrutinize product labels, verify COAs, and only purchase from trustworthy vendors who prioritize quality and transparency.
