Background
I have an extremely stressful job and I got into running during the pandemic as a way to relieve workplace stress. Since 2020 I have run in 5 marathons 4 of them being the World Majors. It’s become a healthy outlet for myself and my family, but running long distances is hard on my body now that I’m in my 40’s. I found myself complaining to my wife about leg soreness after my long runs. We decided to try Soothe as a more natural pain relief rather than OTC medications and creams. I ran 17miles the day before (26 hours prior to taking it) and was extremely sore.
The Experience
I took a full gummy based on the dosing chart. I was a “blue” dose and decided to start with 1 full gummy. I started to notice a relaxing effect after about 45min. At the 60-75min mark I felt the full effects and was shocked at the pain management and overall euphoric and pain free feeling I was experiencing. The full gummy achieved the desired pain management of prescribed pain medications but without all the associated side effects. I ended up falling asleep from the soothing effects, but still woke up on my own during my regular time (around 5:45am) and had zero side effects. The pain that I was experiencing in my calves and feet (especially my heels) the day before was completely gone! I honestly felt like I do 3-4 days post run instead of it being day 2.
Follow-up
The tangerine taste was awesome! I was worried about it being a medicinal taste and was so happy I enjoyed taking it. I would recommend taking 1/2 your recommended dose of this one to start with as I found myself blissfully pain free, but more euphoric than I was expecting and I ended up dozing off earlier than expected as well. Overall I will have this as a staple in my post run recovery repertoire and having a safe alternative to prescribed pain medications without the awful side effects is a game changer.
